Completed my first Whalen bushing install on the new M seats and then pulled seat out of Z3.

How happy I was to find the wiring had changed!

I checked the sticky in How-to FAQ section and found cngizbleeving's post.

I have a few questions before I start hacking connectors.

I am missing seat occupancy sensor module on M seats. Are the same modules used on both seats i.e. can I harvest it from the Z3 seat? I can only match the larger connector - no obvious connector for small white receiver.

I am going to follow the sticky and make connections one at a time.

Any clues as to what this connector on the M seat is?

All inputs gratefully received.

OK, figured a workaround.

I removed the seat belt receptacle from the Z3 along with the seat belt buckle sensor and pre-tensioner wires (mystery photo). This meant that I didn't need to splice them to match the Amp connector on the Z3.

I cut the motor power wires on the M seat at the white Molex plug. I cut a few inches of wire and the Amp connector from the motor power wires on the Z3 seat. Two butt connectors and job was done.

I had to take console out to find seat heater wiring and match it up with new switches.

Doing bushings on second M seat tonight and hopefully wrapping up whole project tomorrow.

Can anyone confirm the wire colors for the juice to the heated seats? Looks like two 14-18 gauge wires that are then split off to base and back heater circuits.

I will take a few pictures tomorrow when I do the driver side.

Glad you got it figured out. I did the same conversion last fall. Great upgrade! :)

Now if anyone wants a pair of non-sport, non-heated beige seats with frames and motors (no wires).... I've got those for sale... :)
