View Full Version : What factors are considered re CPOing a vehicle?

I was on a dealer website this morning and found 8 or so E92 M3s listed. However, only one was offered as a CPO (and the price disparities were not that drastic). If you're asking $54K+ for each vehicle, why not CPO them all? Which leads to my question: what factors (other than the obvious, e.g., condition) go into this consideration? A CPO vehicle is certainly more attractive than a non-CPO.

There is no subvened rates on M product and the CPO is hellaciously expensive on M Power Cars...
What we do is bring the car to CPO standard, offer it cheaper then if someone wants the extended CPO warranty add the cost to the car.
Not everyone will keep the car through the CPO period, they want the saving now, not increased value at trade in or resale.

Makes sense with the glut of '08 M3s in the market and folks looking for deals.
