View Full Version : Funny M3 sighting

On my way back from the Christmas holiday I was cruising east on I80 (in New Jersey)when I noticed a black bimmer with a flared hood right on my tail. He sped out to my right (it was bumper to bumper) and flew across 2 lanes to get out in front. It was a brand new black M3 with temp tags. I pointed the M3 out to my wife, but while I was admiring the wheels she noticed that the driver (a young guy) was so short he could barely look over the dash! Nice car though...

...cause i was northbound on 287 right at the 80-287 interchange and a dark colored M3 almost killed us all!!! he came swooping up in the left lane right where the traffic merges (slowly) onto 287 northbound from the left, and he drove *between the lanes* at about 100mph, cutting me off, then cutting across all three lanes to the right lane. i saw him coming and actually said to my gf "HOLD ON!!" cause i though we were all going to die. totally, completely, inexcuseably reckless. all i saw as he swooped in front of me was the quad exhaust tips, M3 badge, lots of brakelights and swerving from everyone else, and then he was gone.
he'd better learn how to drive responsibly or we'll be hearing about him wrapped around a pole in his new car soon. i sorta wonder if it was stolen because i can't imagine anyone driving that recklessly in their brand new 50k car.

Where's this at? 287 and 80 interchange?
That sounds like my friend Andy's driving...He was suppose to pick up his Carbon Black M3 sometime in January in Pennsylvania.

yup. it was at the 287-80 interchange. i don't know if it was carbon black, jet black, or dark blue. it was too dark outside and he was going too fast to get a good look!

No, my sighting was on Wed. But the driving does not seem that different. Maybe it was the same guy terrorizing the area...
A wonderful car is no excuse for stupidity. If this driver wants to drive fast and recklessly, take it to a closed track! It is the height of hubris to put other people's lives in danger just to "impress" them with juvenile driving "skills". Where are the Troopers when they can make a difference?
When should we expect to see non test mule pics of the new M3?
