I know I'm not the only one who sits around and edits photos when I get bored.
I'll start...
Right after I picked up the M3

Phil, that last one is absolutely stunning.
BryanR, that's pretty sweet dude.
Also, Phil, my ex had an old Bimmer too dude. It was an absolutely MINT E30 that her dad had pretty much restored for her. A 91 325 coupe, no dings, re-painted, re-upholstered, red (whatever the technical name is, not sure) and gorgeous. Man, and she never ever knew what she was drivin, nor was she appreciative really of it much. Aaahhhh, memories dude, memories of that E30 and that wench both...hahaha

Thanks! I set that photo up but Halston (DinanM3atl) took the picture. Here's a bigger version of the original, I have a HUGE version if you want, but it's like 3ftx4ft.

What you shoud have done is squat to roughly where the drivers seat is at the end of the skids, and pretend to be driving - now that would be funny :)

that weird short version m3 is freakin sweet!!! someone should do that... reminds me of my dads friend who chopped 14 inches out of his 66' mustang. that ride was really really really cool, and yes really needed to be repeated three times.
AMBER!!! GOOD JOB!!! you da women!
p.s. I haven't done any photo editing since probably 2001... are these programs hard to learn? and where can i find a decent one for free? i have some shots I want to mess with ;)

I really like photoshop... been using it for about a decade. My sig was just the back of my car, a couple quick alterations removed the line from the trunk (you could initially see the trunk in that shot) and added a lens flare.
I'm sure once I get some better quality pics of the car, I'll go crazy.
As for your questions Jake:
How do you just have certain colors showing? What did you do?
Easiest way to do it (assuming you have Photoshop... if not, go download GIMP. It's free and awesome... almost as good as PS) is to:
- open your picture in that program
- right click on the layer in the toolbox and duplicate layer
- take the layer on the bottom and "desaturate" it (shift+ctrl+u)
- go back to the layer that is on the top... select the parts you want to keep, then while they are selected, select inverse and delete....
Obviously, you can do it a million variations of that way... that's just one. It doesn't matter if the color layer is on the top or bottom. Only that there's a color layer and a desaturated or grayscaled layer.
Any questions or anything, shoot me a PM. I can't mod my car, but I can play in PS or GIMP a bit...

DBall, I found an easier way. Use the lasso tool, select inverse then make everything else whatever you want.

That definitely works as well... I just like having the extra layer for more complex ones or in case I forget something. Easier to fix it that way then undoing/redoing 10 changes (found that out the hard way)... :D

Have you seen the Hair Bear bunch?
They had an invisible moped?
Doesnt matter :tsk: :D
