nice find!! i dont know how i feel about this new design though.. i'm on the fence about it. one thing that's just okay to me is the front grill. it feels big compared to the previous 5 - series.

Great find!

I hope this is still heavily disguised... Bc it looks VERY BORING from these shots. The e60 is the best selling 5 series ever for a reason - it had some edge. From what I can see of this one, it is very boring.

Hope I'm wrong.

I agree. Maybe it's just the paisley camo and the ugly wheels but the car looks kind of boring. Definitely does not look like it will be as attractive as the E60. We'll see what the fully baked version looks like in the flesh...

Agreed....

Next summer I will buy my first sports sedan. I want a Bimmer b/c of how well they drive. However, I am considering the XF, A6 if the F10 doesn't delivery.

I have faith that Bimmer will come correct...

Here is a rendering I saw, http://www.bmwblog.com/wp-content/uploads/az15_09_001_titel_gr.jpg

I really like the interior, a mix of F1 instrumentation, top section, vents, and E90 angular hang down section. Nav pod is more integrated, less obstrusive, very nice. Front and rear show profiles of the F1, side view looks almost identical to an E90 profile. Bring it on! Boring? No, pleasing to the eye, not so 'in your face' like the current generation of all models, E90 kickstarted a slow down in the over the top styling of E65, E60, E85, those were necessary to break away from the norm, now that we accept some of those styling accents, smooth them out, and its golden.

I'm concerned that the iDrive screen is so exposed to sunlight and glare. I've seen this be a problem on the X5 and X6. The one advantage of the E60 and E90 in this area is that the screen is recessed. I like the look of the car though. Just a nit I suppose in the whole scheme of things but it could be really annoying.

These picture tell only a small part of the story. Like any BMW model, it'll look good with the sport package, plain without it, and look best in the V8 and M series. The turbo V8 will be interesting, especially if it can be modifed for power gain the same way the I-6 turbo can

Second set is an older set with more "external" camouflage. The newest pics look like a Camry, not impressed so far...

It's a real bore in my opinion - the basic greenhouse could be fitted over the current or last generation Honda Accord - this is a "new" design, this is the design that's going to carry the fiver over the next seven or eight years?

Jaq created a nice design with the XF, why BMW can't do better than this is puzzling - perhaps they've just become too gun-shy after all the Bangle busting.

It remains to be seen if Chris Bangle was a visionary or a villain. When the F10/11 is revealed we will know.

That is exactly how I feel. The lines on this car fail in this class.

The interior takes heavily from the 7 series. Looks very similar.

Just remember that BMW isnt allowed to fail with the 3 series or the 5 series. So i'm not worried in the least bit.
