The rims look to be in good condition, too bad I'd have to basically throw out the tires.

I see the scariest off-brand tires all the time. Federal is a Taiwanese brand. Some are super-low-end from real tire companies, some are small domestic companies using (usually old) brand-name designs, and others, who knows?
I see lots of even 'high-performance' cars (BMWs, Vettes, etc.) that have 4 unmatched, non-name tires.
At least theses appear to match.

Geez . . . your looking for contours also . . . I've been watching that auction as well

There is so much competition when buying used wheels I am starting to think I am going to have to overpay when I find a nice set and grab them . . .

With that said, the thing I wasn't sure about with that guys wheels were I weren't sure if they were all OEM since in the pic it looks like some of them don't have the circle around the middle of the wheel and he says a couple of them don't have 'M's on them

Well, if they don't have M's, they ain't OEM. They're replicas.

Casually looking.

BTW, please give me a heads up if you find OEM LTWs.

too bad I just saw this pm now, I saw a few on ebay but the BMW wheels were 32 pages long of auctions and I just finished it a few minutes ago . . .

If I recall correctly there was a person selling only 3 of them, 2 were described as perfect and the 3rd had some rash (I think)

If I see anything from here on, I'll let you know . . .

Damn! Damn! Damn! I only really need two. Okay, I *really* don't need any. It's just that only two of mine look like crap.

Might be easier to have them refinished. :dunno:

i've seen replicas with the ///M's on them. don't be fooled into believing that is the only tell tale sign of OEM rims. replicas are getting very accurate with their looks against the OEM.

Well, if they don't have M's, they ain't OEM. They're replicas.

It doesn't look right on the forged wheels. They aren't of the typical BMW painted variety.
