Do i really have to change out the whole hub? or just the wheel bearing? i'd be cool if i could just do the bearing but is it more work?

i havent done the fronts before, but if it is the same as the rears then it depends on how stuck to the hub the bearing is. i was very very close to buying a new hub for the back but dad got it off for me :)

the front is a hub assembly, its one hole unit. if you have the right tool its not hard at all... the back on the other hand can be a huge pain in the ass if you dont have a big enough hammer and some pb plaster.

And another question: is this ring suppose to come off or does it stay there?
