Is stuff being worked on, or is the site becoming more flaky?

A few days ago, each time I posted I'd get a "the admins have limited your posts to more than 5 seconds apart" or somesuch. Today I'm randomly getting "the page cannot be displayed" when posting.

A few days ago, other people reported that the search function didn't work ("page cannot be displayed") but it worked for me. Yesterday and today it no longer works for me (same problem).

The time is still wrong.

Other people report that they couldn't access the site at all for periods of several days. While I didn't have that, there have been times when the site just doesn't respond (blank screen, no progress). If I go away and come back in 15 or 20 minutes, it responds again.

I don't want to complain too much about a free resource, but is this stuff being worked on? Can you light a fire under the vBulletin folks about some of this?

And as far as the time goes, it is wrong on E46Fanatics, too. Can you install/configure NTP so this isn't a constant problem?

When replying to the "Bluetooth in US" thread, I was told "this is a duplicate of a post you made within the last 5 minutes" and dropped in the 3-series forum (I had been in a "View new posts" search result, across multiple forums). When I clicked on the "Bimmerfest forums" on the top left to head back to the "View new posts" option, I got a "Sorry, this forum is closed". Finally I used my browser's Back button to get back to the main directory.

I wonder what gremlins await this post?

TimI voted there. Of course, I was greeted with the "you have already voted in this poll" error, but the vote took anyway.

I think this weirdness started after I installed the latest set of Microsoft patches, but it is only affecting this site - not even E46Fanatics which I believe runs on the same hardware. I'd suggest checking with the vBulletin beta folks to see if other beta sites have reported these problems.

E46Fanatics.com runs an identical hardware setup, however we are still on 2.2.9 or something for software. You are the second person that said something about IE patches, hmmmm.

I am waiting to see if any other beta sites are having this issue.
