Not that Richard needs any more money, but I just put in a fairly big order (for me!) to get ready for the random-orbital which arrived yesterday. Thanks to Haus for picking it up for me, and saving me mucho shipping costs (or the drive to Tacoma...).

So now there's another $300 which could have served a more noble habit, like drugs or alcohol. Sigh.

So now, to get familiar with the polisher and the whole clean-polish-wax cycle, I'm going to practice on my friend's GTI which badly needs some TLC. We'll see what happens.

FYI, when I opened the porter-cable box, the machine was very slightly scuffed in a few spots and some dirt/marring on the rubber. I haven't tried it yet, but other than it appears new.

Coastal Tools said it *might* have been a returned unit that somehow ended up in their new stock. They said if I have any trouble with it, to certainly call them and have them ship me a replacement. I only hope I know what "trouble" means. I'll try it out over the next day or so.
