hot weather starting

Hello all, I'm looking at a 83 320i, I would like to buy it for $800.00 but the problem is the car won't start when the weather heats up over about 90 deg.s (I'm in Arizona) in the winter months the car starts and runs fine, and the car will run fine in the summer after starting it with a small shot of either. I have never had a car that had this problem, I have read the repair books but I'm still lost, any help? the car is straight, no rust, and looks good what do you think for $800 bucks? thanks

start problem is (pssibly) fixed by a higher temp thermal time switch, avaliable at bavauto.com, that should fix it. it did mine....you may also want to look at all the hoses, i mean all, from engin bay all the way back, if there is one leak in the system weird stuff starts to happen. also would not hurt to replace the o2 sensor
