Looks like we have a price decrease. I wonder if BMW dropped some std. features?

Ex. Base 2003 330i $35,495.00

2004 Base 330i $34,800

Base 2003 325i $28,495

Base 2004 325i $27,800

Edit: Seems to be -$695.00 across the board on 3-Series. I have not checked any other model.

Ted or Filip,

What about the new brochures? When will they be in?

Won't the newly redesigned 3er have a decrease in price? That is the rumor... :dunno:

The newly designed 3-series isn't (supposedly) due out till 9/2004. How could the price have been determined already, when they had this much trouble getting out the prices for the '04s due out next month?

So the prices, at least for the 3-series are the same??? The bmwna site shows $34,800 for the '03 330i as the base price not including destination.

Yes. But the sedan option prices are not out yet. There have been some increases in coupe/conv/wagon option prices.

I'm assuming that the invoice will stay the same as well? I hope so!

Over the past few years, BMW has been squeezing the dealers a bit by narrowing the markup, so it's possible that the invoice prices will increase a bit for '04. Until we hear otherwise, I guess it's a working assumption that invoice will be unchanged.

If the MSRP stays the same ... then any increase in the invoice would reduce the net profit for the dealers. I doubt that would happen.

I believe this happened at the MY01 midyear refresh.

Does anyone have any more info on BMW Assist? I found a demo on Roadfly.com. It appears to provide the ability to call for help in emergencies, notify BMW for roadside assistance, get traffic reports, etc. So ... how does it work? Does it require a subscription to some service?

Ted just posted the price sheets on the Dealer forum. Looks like the invoices have stayed the same. My 330i comes out to the same as 2003. The icing on the cake would be standard rain sensing wipers and auto dimming rear-view mirror as was tentative some time ago.

Yes, after I made the decision to get the 03 rather than the 04, I secretly wanted to see the prices shoot up.

I guess that's mean and selfish of me.

No, just prudent and frugal.

Wasn't that rain-sensing wipers and auto headlight control? I think it did happen. Auto-dimming mirror stays in the PP.

I think you are correct. Thanks! Actually, I prefer the headlights to the dimming mirror. At night, I'd like to have the choice of running dimmed or undimmed. I mostly drive with my mirrors undimmed. Just something weird about not seeing anything in my mirror except headlights at night.

Does anyone know how this option will work (or not work) if you do not have Nav and/or a BMW Cellphone? I am ordering an 04 Z4 soon and do I get anything of value with BMW Assist in the ZPP option if I do not also go for Nav and a BMW Cellphone?

What exactly does one get with this "639" option?

When will we see the option pricing? Will the price of the Premium Package on the 3-Series go down now that Rain-sensing windshield wipers with automatic headlight control are standard?

I just noticed that on the option package description for ZHP (Performance Package) and the 325i Sport Package (ZSP) the Sport Suspensions have the same option code (226) :dunno: My understanding was that the ZHP suspension was unique.

It is already out. Not sure about the wipers/lights though. See the thread below:

That is some good info. Found the M3 PDF. Will have to look at last years pricing to see how the premium package changed on the M3. Noticed no Bluetooth kit was on the list, hmmm. Anyone got one of these for the 3 Series Sedans, yet?
