My 995 has been an awesome ‘prosumer-grade’ camera, but I’ve decided to upgrade for my upcoming trip. I thought I’d offer it on Bimmerfest before putting it on ebay since all of the pictures I’ve ever posted here have come out of my Coolpix 995. Hope nobody minds... if you do PM me and I will delete this post ASAP.

The swivel lens is really handy for taking pictures in crowds (over peoples heads) and getting interesting angles. Aside from two 1/8” blemishes near the hand grip and a hardly-noticeable scratch near the flash, it looks new. The ‘travel charger’ works but it has always been fussy about how you plug it into the wall. I’ve heard that this is common and Nikon will swap it out for one of a different design if you call them, but I haven’t verified this or bothered to do it because it hasn’t been too much of an issue.

The camera will ship in its original box with the USB data transfer cable, the 16MB Compact Flash card that came with it, the original battery, the manual, and the battery charger. This battery lasts about 200-250 shots mixed flash, and if that’s not enough spare EN-EL1 batteries with more juice can be had for ~$20 on ebay along with all sorts of other accessories. You can also get Compact Flash cards (memory) for cheap these days. A 128MB card in this camera holds about 240 shots at 1600x1200 IIRC.

FYI used examples of the 995 are going for $285-300+ on ebay. I won't ship this camera until a week from Monday when my new camera is set to arrive. Please PM me if you have any questions or if you’re interested.

(FYI my camera has a lavender/grey stripe on the grip where the one in the pic has a red stripe :D )
