Will the one series be added?

Thats strange. Why isnt the 1 Series listed? I just got back from a local dealer and he printed out the 2010 1 Series MSRP list effective Sep 1,09. Im getting ready to deal on an E.D. purchase and the invoice numbers on 1 Series would really be helpful now!

Hi I am new here so if this has already been asked I am sorry for asking it again. So with that HOW do you find out what it really cost BMW to manufactory the New 2009 Z4 and I too want to know the price of the 2010 Z4. I have spent hours looking for this answer. Not the invoice price. I know that. I know the base price, but what it really cost. Also edmonds said there is know hold back on the Z4, so were can I find out how long a Z4 has been sitting on my local dealers lot? With out going under cover and working for my local dealer, were can you find out how much floor plan allowance has gone towards that car, which would answer my first question. I want to buy this Z4, but like everyone I want below invoice price. How do I find out what they BMW dealerships have add to the invoice price to jack it up to MSRP. I want the dealer and sale person to make money, but not a ton of money Thank You

Not sure if you know what it is you are asking....

The "invoice" price is also called the "Wholesale" price or the "dealers cost".

The dealer makes money by charging more than their cost- even up to MSRP and maybe even above (in some years, some cars)

There are occasions when the manufacturer gives the dealer a 'price break' or a discount on invoice- this is called 'trunk money'. Simply the dealer pays some set price under invoice. VERY hard to find this, and it is actually pretty rare- only certain models at the end of the year usually.

What it COSTS BMW to make is of ZERO use!!! You may be thinking that the dealer is actually part of BMW- and they they should be happy making X dollars above their 'real cost'. You need to educate yourself- the DEALER IS NOT BMW. A dealership is an independent company that buys cars from BMWNA at Invoice and sells them for a bit of profit.

People MUST understand this distinction- especally in service. So many people think that the dealer is BMW. BMW is a third party...

Hey Sammie,
Wake up ! Floor plan adds costs to the dealership. Ask for the invoice and pay 4% over - more than fair- There is no holdback- only incentive money at year end IF the dealer hits its quota and csi stats- Go buy a GM and get a Huge rebate- otherwise pay what the car is worth, "the ultimate driving machine".
MSRP stands for Manufacturers suggested retail price - it has nothing to do with the dealership!!
Do us all a favor and go buy a Miata at below invoice, don t pay the salesman, and stay away from luxury automobiles that you apparently don t even know the history of how they are built but want to know what it costs. Factor in R& D for 50 or so years too !!!!

Sorry had this posted in wrong thread:

Hello all --

The pricing list that was posted in this forum was very helpful to us in choosing our options. However today when we tried to price our 2010 BMW 328xi on the bmwusa website, there seems to be a discrepancy with the moon-roof being included in the $2650 package. Please let me know if I'm understanding this right:

The pricing sheet posted on this forum said that the ZVP with ZPP (value package with premium) costs $2650 but the difference being no moon-roof and no powerseats. However, the bmw website when building the car (and this was actually what the dealer told us as well) was that we were going to get ALL features of the ZPP (including the moon roof and the powerseats) even when we ordered it with the ZVP. Could someone please explain what's going on? What is the difference between $4100 premium package and the $2650 premium package with the value package? Very confusing! We want to make sure we get the moon-roof while ordering the two packages together!

Thanks!

It sounds like you are interested in learning the cost the dealer has sunk into the Z4 they have on their lot so that you can pick it up as cheaply as possible, right? That's not likely to happen without inside information. If your going that far why not also find out what the status of that particular dealerships cash flow might be? You can probably get that from looking at it's bank records, right? While your at it, why not dig around and see if the GM is cheating on his wife with the girl at the front counter. Not realistic you say? Of COURSE they aren't and neither is your interest in what the dealership actually OWEs on the car. It does NOT matter. All that matters is what they are willing to sell it to you for. Start low and work your way up...basic & uncomplicated.

Guys, thanks so much for all the pricing info here. I just bought a 2010 535i today. And when I walked in to the dealer with this wholesale and MSRP info in hand, we simply agreed on how much profit above invoice and the rest was easy. The pricing discussion took about 30 minutes, the paperwork and other stuff took a couple hours. Having all this info in hand made things rather simple and quick. Great job. I promise to post more to the forum now that this is my second Bimmer.

By the way, are old posts ever cleaned out? I mean some of the threads have years' worth of replies and they are quite difficult and time consuming to sort through. Just wondering.

Sammie, you are making this way too complicated, trying to obtain information you or anyone else will never get. Just read my previous post and see there is a very easy, fair way to buy the car. I paid about 2.7 percent over invoice. And you already have all the invoice prices posted here. The dealer made money, I got a fair price, and everyone is happy.

Is this a good deal - 2010 bmw 328xi fully loaded for $44,628?
-M Sports Package
-Premium Package
-Value Package
-Automatic Steptronic
-Xenon headlights
-Anti-theft

Was being told the MSRP is $47,450 and there's a max 7% dealer commission.
