A little birdy told me....
coming shortly (within 7-21 days)
$6000 conqeust cash from BMW FS if you are leasing a new 09 7er and currently own a "luxury competitor"

i can be wrong...but
good luck!

The $6000 is including the BMW FS $3000 lease cash

So this would essentially then expand the $6000 for current bmw fs customers to everyone, correct?

They need to compete with MB's 14k dealer cash. Some of the people on MB world are reporting $25k discounts on 09 S class models.

That's amazing. (Although I still don't think I'd buy one...)

They also gave the 2010 models a facelift, so moving the 09's will be important. Not nearly as exciting as a 7 series, but a compelling offer.

Yeah, I guess MB is getting on board with LED foglights, from the looks of pictures. Subtle, but a nice update for an already good looking car. However, I've just driven a few S-Class sedans and have never been impressed.

both cars are very impressive...but if i were lucky enough to be able to choose either, a 750Li with sport would be in my stable over a S550 any day of the week.

i got the BMW FS program updates for september, and nothing pertaining to this increase was mentioned...

i did consider a 09 S550 with an MSRP of 100,6000.00. with 19k discount off bat the deal was still worse than 7. maybe with more discount it'll be close to 7 but i didn't bother to ask. as a current MB customer i think their lease program sucks big time. plus i don't think 09 S-class is a superior car than 09 7-series. with the 2010 facelift S550 maybe i get a newer car but it'll put the payment about 1k more then the 7. no thanks.

Are residuals the problem for Benz? I thought the new 7's residuals were bad enough...

When I looked at the MB just recently there was a significant difference between the two, BMW obviously being higher. This was for the 2010 models and I am not sure about the 2009. I believe they were closer.

unfortunately the economy sucks, BMW and MB dealers are overloaded with 7ers and S cars.

They will try to squeeze maximum money out of the cars and as time goes on the deals should get better.

Nothing new here
