1986 bmw 528e won't start

I bought this car from a friend of mine and it won't crank. I knew it was running before she stopped driving it because I used to ride with her a lot. She recently purchased a new car and didn't need this one so I got it. The car turns over really well but won't start. Can anyone give me any ideas?

Is it getting any spark? Is it getting any gas? Have you tried cleaning up the fuse connections? Have you tried taking out the main relay and the fuel relay and cleaning them up? (ones on the left side of the fuse box on the bottom) How long was it sitting? Does it have bad gas? See if you are getting these things and then come back and let us know. Right now you have not told us enough to really help you. Also get a Bentaly manual it is the best one for this car and it will help you a lot.
