I Just Purchased A 1999 323i Last Week, When I Got My Car Inspected It Failed Because The Obd Communications Failed... I Bring The Car To The Dealer They Take 4 Days Looking At My Car Saying There Doing Tests To See If Everythink Is Ok ,i Go Pick Up The Car Yesterday.. ITS READY FOR INSPECTION SIR , BULL SH&% Take The Car Up The Block To There Local Gas Station They Do Biz With, They Check It, Guess What? Obd Commm Error....
They Tell Me That There Connector Is Diff Then The States Thats Why There Is A Problem.. Go Back To Bmw. They Tell Me There Going To Bring It To A Sister Co. Gas Station 5 Miles Away In Flat Bed Check The Obd Comm. Because This Guys Nj State Connector Works But Not Motor Veh. Or There Local Gas Station Inspection, THIS MAKES NO SENSE TO ME,This Place Is Going To Work HE HAS THE MAGIC CONNECTOR And There Going To Pass It For Inspecion And Put A Sticker On The Car!!
The Big ? Is, All Said And Done What Do I Do In 2 Years For Re-inspection?... Or More Imortanly Should I Just Return The Car For A Diff. One, Why Should I Have A Car That Can't Pass State Inspection.. Im Confussed And Need Help Am I Taking This Too Far Or Am I Right?
