Not true - Those wheels were sold by Tire Rack starting in the e36 era. They sold them for winter sets for the 3 Series as well as others like the X5's. For the 3 Series they offered a 7" width and a 7.5" width. The 7.5" width cleared the bigger brakes including the 330's. I ran these a long time ago for one of my e36 M3's. I think they have an offset of 37 or 40ET which is printed on the back of the wheel...if you see an et of 20 they are for the X' or 5's.
Looks to me like the tires are near the end however a nice set to have if they are straight & true...they look good on the e36 & e46 3 Series.

ameritrades - what loulou meant was the 330s rotors diameter is too large to fit a 16' wheel, nothing to do with width..

I knew what he was saying but I also knew he didn't know what he was saying (no offense to him).
Specific 16" wheels will fit the 330's if the wheel is wide enough and the specific wheel for sale here is one of those wheels as the width allowed it to clear the brake calipers.

330i brake rotor = ~12.8" outter diameter (Fact)
Braker Caliper = ~1.5" protrusion from outter edge of rotor (?)
Total = ~14.3"

Inner diameter 16" rim (rather the smallest diameter at any one point along the horizontal plane of the rim) = maybe ~14.5"-15" ?(no clue really) Which would leave 0.2" to 0.7" clearance between the two...

This is, ofcouse, just some thoughts i'm throwing out there out of curiosity for the correct answer (aka working on the road, in hotel room and boredom is settling in quickly) Feel free to tear it apart.

Not going to tear you apart - you are right, it is close but the correct size 16" will fit.
Here is a link to the recommended winter wheel for the 2001 330i...16" x 7.5 Sport Edition:

Agreed - nice set at a good price :thumbup:

LG71GSX - put them on craigslist stating "Will fit all e36 & e46 3 Series excluding the e46 M3"

Yeah, I checked with Tirerack first before asking here.

It's just like how style 66 17' will fit my M5 but not many other 17' wheels will clear the brakes.

I'll tell my friend to see if he likes them.

These wheels are from our 2002 330Cic w/ sport package. Bought them from Tirerack in 2005.

Ameritrades - thank you for the suggestion. Will do.
