oil service light!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

87 325 e motor.....changed my oil and i wanna get rid of that oil service light with the yellow and red indicator lights (in cluster)... i know there's a way to reset it W/O that special tool....i think you short out two pins at the diagnostic module on top of front of motor??????????? thanks everyone

Short pin 7 and pin 19. Basically, use a paper clip or the like, then go key to accessory, then wait like 4 or 5 seconds. Remove paper clip or whatever, then take key out of ignition. Reset complete!

i have the "old style connector" so i had to short out pins 7 and 1...got that info from the link that someone posted in response to my request....worked like a charm...we're lucky to drive these cool ass cars...cya fellas
