Hi,

I just purchased a bmw 750li here in india. The car is manufactured in 2006 and came out as the face lift model with certain changes to powertrain at the time.

My car has the adaptive dynamic light package. My headlamps do not corner when i move the steering wheel ( when the car is not in motion).

I read on the internet that the lights have to be put in auto mode to enable the lights to move with the steering wheel.

Can someone please explain how the dynamic lights function. I looked up in the car data using the i drive and donot see any error messages on the screen.

In case the lights are not working correctly, would a error message come up on the screen?

Hi Ankur,

The driver side light will not move when the car is stationary so it does not blind drivers on the other side of the road (for example if you are at a stop light) the passenger side should move slightly when stationary to the left (right hand drive in india).

Are you sure you have them turned on?

The light switch on the dash should be turned all the way to the left and a little light on the switch should be illuminated.

This has nothing to do with the question asked.. but I have to ask it anyway. You bought a 750li in India? Did you have to get it imported or were you able to buy it in India? I hear there's about a 50% duty tax you have to pay just to drive the car there, is that true? Baller status!
