I recently experienced a problem with my navigation system in a 2006 750Li. The symptoms where: no voice directions nor arrows in the tach display. It would calculate distance and arrival times so I knew the system functioned.

The cause appears to be a diffective address input, created by entering a zip code and city name. Our town comes up with different names depending upon the data base used.

The solution was easy, change the city name to either one only, not allow it to have two entries.

it can't direct you to two places at once !! hence no arrow's ! lol

it really is the same place. 2 databases with different names for the same place. Probably happens lots now with all the newer zipcodes and area codes.

my nav gives you the addresses of possible destination ! i guess i need an upgrade as i can't use postcode / zip code to find a place !

i think only the 06 + can do the zip code search

ACE ! so i need a whole new 7 series just to get zip code entry on my nav ! thats f**ked up !! lol
