Quoted from another board...

They've just announced the pricing for their new models here (Germany pricing is usually higher than US pricing, 16% taxes included):

BMW 525i 37500 / 41900 US$ (the US $ has dwindled again for the last few days)
BMW 545i 57600 / 64350 US$
BMW Z4 2.2i 29900 / 33404 US$
BMW X3 3.0i and 3.0d 40300/ 45023 US$
BMW X3 2.5i 38100 / 42565 US$
BMW X5 3.0i and 3.0d 43950 / 49100 US$
BMW X5 4.4i 62250 / 69545 US$
BMW 645 Ci 72000 / 80438 US$

Check out the X3 pricing. The X3 2.5 is priced $665 higher than a 525i.

Assume these prices include the 16% Value Added Tax?

...we might be able to say that the base US $ cost would be closer to the Euro price quoted than the US $ conversion they listed. :dunno:

I think what's interesting is that in Germany the X3 is priced so close to the X5.

:yikes:

For reference, the adjusted price for the 525 is only about $2000over the actual US price, but there's a roughly $18,000 gap between their adjusted price on the X5 4.4 and the US price.

In other words, expect the X3 to start in the lower portion of the $30,000 range for a stripped 2.5, and go in to the $40,000-range for a loaded up 3.0.
