Hi all,

Other than BMWFS, does anyone have any pointers on leasing companies that'll do a lease on used cars (24 months will be sufficient)? And this is for elite credit.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

Chase Manhattan Auto Finance has the best used vehicle leasing

Nah, just looking.

68K for a 97 993TT with 33K miles. :yikes:

0-60mph: 3.7 seconds
0-1/4 mile: 12.1s @ 116 mph
Top Speed: 192 mph

Sounds so tempting. :D

I was going to recommend them too. They have very agressive rates. A friend of mine is leasing an X5 4.4 and CLK430 cab through them, and has excellent programs.

Too bad they pulled out of RI after loosing a multi-million lawsuit due to our state's stupid vicarious liability law.

Geez those numbers look damn good! I especially like the top speed. I'd have to wait another 3 years before I'd even EVER think about (99.99mph+) trying to actually verify that though.

We will also have a "hospitality tent" set up with E-Z Up and the 2002 Bimmerfest banner.

Can someone bring a few wire-ties to hang up the banner?

it's been enough time that i'd just flat out buy that car, if that porkchop does it for you, bro. it isn't as though that car will depreciate suddenly any more than it has. the aircooled TT's have finally been adjusted to reflect the times as well as the abundance of 996TTs. but those are still the last of the aircooled TT's.

and there will always be (ME! ME! ME!) who say those were potentially the last great porsches.....before the company started selling VW SUVs and 4-door sedans.....

You're  ? At least RI amended this. We in NY still have this law. We're the only ones left in the country.

Am I surprised? I knew you guys were nuts when you elected Hilary. I don't expect much from NY state these days. :eeps:

Chase pulled out of RI after their insane law-suit settlement that caused this whole controversy to come to light again ($28 million after a guy driving one of their leased Acuras hit someone). They have agreed to come back to CT and RI now that they have changed the law, though.

Add Tanin to that list of "ME! ME! ME!" !

The 993 is such a sensory overload compared to the 996. I was very close to purchasing a 996 Carerra and was disappointed with how the car made me feel. Also, the air-cooled Porsches have such a beautiful sound that was lost when they starting pumping water. The 996***8217;s are awesome vehicles but something is missing IMO.
Decided to hold out for a 98 Carerra S for a weekend/track car.

You've got at least one vote that says you should get. :)

Hmm, the insurance quote for both the 97 993TT and the 01 996TT are the same, at $1770/6 month.

Supposedly the 996 is "safer." Or that's the reason, er, excuse. given by my agent.

One other thing that is very interesting to note is that an 01 996TT lease payment is the same as most M3 finance payment (assuming 0 down). So about a grand a month for a 15K 01 996TT lease.

Of course, if the magic car does come to the U.S., all bets are off. :bigpimp:

dear divebomber:

methinks you should just enjoy the e46m3 to its fullest extent and then be in line early for the next generation v8 powered m3. 'skip the CSL and its potential markups (if it ever comes).

(parallel conundrum: buy a 996 GT3 or wait for a 997/8 with same HP, no markup?....basically same performance.........)
