Hi there,
Hope everyone is doing well! :)
I am debating between changing the oil myself and taking it to a BMW dealer.
Would someone please confirm whether these are the correct procedures to do an oil and filter change?
1. Jack up the car and remove the drain plug to drain all oil.
2. Open the hood and remove the oil filter cover by turning it counter clock wise.
3. After the oil is fully drained, screw a new drain plug back on securely.
4. Install a new oil filter and close the filter cover by turning it clock wise.
6. Add 7 quarts of BMW oil into the oil cap filler.
7. Reset the oil service light and pray that everything will be okay... :-)
I really love my car. I bought it brand new and the maintenance warranty is expired. I have about 49,000 miles on it. If anyone can kindly provide me any inputs on this "specific" year, make and model, I would greatly appreciate it!!!
God bless you, and hope all your rides are clean, smooth and safe!
Have a great day!!! :-)
Sincerely,
Daniel
