engine oil reset

i just changed my oil in my '07 525i. does anyone know how to reset the indicator in the car info?

the instructions above seem to not be for a 5 series with a start/stop button.

i figured out how to reset the change oil, microfilter, etc lights in the service menu for a 5 series with a start/stop button.

with the key in the ignition. hit the start/stop button and let the ecu start.

hold the trip reset button to the bottom left of the guages for about 5 sec. until the check system icon appears.

press the trip reset button once to scroll through each icon you want to reset.

press and hold the button for the item you want to reset until it asks you to reset.

release and press and hold for about 5 sec or until the numbers reset.

So actually I need to start the car in order to reset the computer?
If the key is pushed in and I hit the start button, this is what`s gonna happen.

Take your foot off the brake when you press the start/stop button. That turns on all vehicle curcuits without actually starting the car. :)

Another try another failure, but I feel like I am getting closure.
I`ve managed to get to all the services: oil,brakes, brake fluid...
On front brakes I was at -300 MILES:
1. I`ve hold the reset button untill asked me- "RESET?"
2. I`ve released it and then pressed again and hold it, in the first stage all I could see was 4 bottom lines, and I thought I just did it but within one second I could see "-9000 miles"
I follow same sequence again and hoped to get it right but no chance, after reset all it does is keeping -9000miles in red.

Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong, there must be something that I am missing.
