Noticeable Transmission Downshifting

I just purchased my car yesterday, and noticed that I can feel the transmission downshifting when coasting. I'm not sure if it is normal.

My last daily driver was a Ford Fusion Hybrid (no flames pls) and it had a smooth CVT. I am used to coasting to save gas.

I have been using the Normal or Comfort setting.

Does anyone else have this concern? :dunno:

my 7 does it too but its barely noticeable, as does my 7speed benz.

I've had my car for nearly two weeks and noticed it too in the beginning, but barely notice it now. To me, it felt like transmission braking on deceleration. Frankly, I like it as I feel it gives the car a sporty character.

Very nice! I envy guys like you that live in warm climates that can keep your cars looking perfect year 'round and don't have to worry about snow tires!
