dead battery?.....no electrical at all

woke up and electricial system is ded. no tick tick tick when i try to start my car. no lights, no nothing...wtf....1990 535i....help

One of three things should be the problem.

1. Battery. This may not be the problem as you should have seen symptoms of this coming. Also check the battery cables.

2. Fusible link under the hood (This applies to e34s with battery under the hood)

3. Fusible link under the back seat (This applies to e34s with battery under rear seat).
