Probably the most relevant other forum to you (and one which has a MUCH larger E36 contingent) is bimmerforums.com.

I split my time between here, fanatics and bf.c.

Nick, Thanks- I tried bimmerforums-Not bad, but I would have to learn how to misspell, and generate alot of.....what's the term I want? Teenage angst? I don't know... Worth peeking in on once in awhile. It's like having your finger in your ear (nose) we all have done it-you just don't want anyone seeing you do it.
I just feel so frustrated with this site sometimes!-other than you, and a few others there is NO support here! A thousand people read the post and 1 or none reply. Maybe it's because I'm new here?
Thanks for the help!

You can also try www.bimmer.org (http://www.bimmer.org) A lot of people from this board (including myself) used to post there before we came here . . .

BTW I don't know what kind of info your not getting answers to but I can assure you it has nothing to do with being new here . . .

Enjoy !!

I just feel so frustrated with this site sometimes!-other than you, and a few others there is NO support here! A thousand people read the post and 1 or none reply. Maybe it's because I'm new here?It is hard to generalize about the user community here. A number of people are hard-core technical folks, some participate just for the social aspects, and there is also a wide range of users in between. There are also many ways to use the site - personally, I use "View new posts" across all forums and read any of the topics that interest me at that particular time (which means a good post title is essential). Others may simply open a single forum and see what's new. There are people here who never look at the site outside of one or two forums, unless they're pointed at another thread somewhere.

I think "a thousand people" is a bit of an overestimate - in 3 days, my DIY on illuminated cupholders has generated 119 views. In 2 days, something with a wider audience (Latest edition: MY2004 Vehicle Ordering Guide) has 217 views.

Right now, search is out of order again for Internet Exploder users, so I can't see which topic(s) you started that have unanswered questions. But rest assured, we don't have anything against new users.

Some questions are more likely to get answers in much more tightly-focused forums. For example, the Yahoo! group "HacktheIbus" is the place to ask about the communication protocol on our cars, despite the awful Yahoo! user interface and intrusive advertising. But if you ask a question like that here, you'll probably get at least a pointer to a better forum for that specific question, if one exists.

Ja, I can't stand Bimmerforums. This site pretty much has only E46ers on the 3-series board, though. I think you'll pretty much have to go Roadfly. I hang around here, but go to Roadfly if I need an E30 question answered.

Mel,

Anything that I can personally help you with?

I am a jack-off of all trades...
