I was just told that my car should be at the dealer today and that is 5 weeks from dropoff in Amersterdam to delivery at Passport BMW in Maryland. From what I've seen this is pretty good time and it seems reasonable from my perspective. I dropped off on 8/18 and it was on the ship on 9/1, at the VPC in Newark on 9/13, and at the dealer on 9/23. I don't know all of the factors for the apparently quick delivery but I think one of them is a quick turn around at the VPC as the car was not damaged while in Europe and apparently went through shipping without damage. Good luck to all of you who are waiting for your car and I hope your experience is as positive as mine.

Sweet. I'm about 25 days behind you. Say hi to Joern (I assume).

I can only hope my 545 males it to CA as fast!
Best of luck with the 330, I've had mine for 3 years and am going to be sad to part with it.

Making it to California is only half the battle. Mine 330i made it Port Hueneme on the 7th. As far as anyone can tell it's still there, albeit somewhere in the bowels of the VPC. The boat ride was 17 August through 7 September, so not too bad considering how much further it is from Europe to the West Coast compared to the East Coast.
