I thought if I took the trim off I could clean this up?? does anyone know how to remove this piece, or do they know if I remove the piece can I get the sticky off my switch??? thank for the help... it drives me nuts

Yes it's possible. Unclip the shift boot, there are 2 screws near the bottom of the bezel. Unlip the wiring harnesses and out she comes. You can unclip the switches from the bottom if need be,

If you click on the pictures, they will enlarge !!
Oh, also, don't worry too much about it the spill, I've spilled coffee on my window switches and they work fine nd I never took apart the console to fully clean it out.
it wasn't a lot of coffee but it was enough to make the switches a little sticky which I cleaned with water.
