I'm trying to install a Pioneer CDX-M30 CD changer in my prewired 94 525. I've got the correct PIO adapter cable but don't know how to wire in the power. I don't have the correct Pioneer connector. On the back of the changer is a 3 pin receptacle. One pin is labeled "H" one "3" and the center position is unlabeled.

Anyone know where to connect the 12V and ground? Where might I find the correct plug for this?

Thanks, Walt

You should have two cables/connectors connected to the unit. One is the adapter that goes into the 15 pin (am hazy as to the exact number) cicular plug pre-wiring.

The other is a power and ground. It requires permanent 12V and ground. The ground you can ground to any chassis ground. The power you may/may not find a lead in the trunk. If not, wire directly to battery cable.

Search unofficialbmw.com email database (E34/36), or do a search on the E36 archives of bimmer.org; the CDX M30 stuff has been tackled before.
