Is it just me?

This is super annoying, when i put the gear in reverse my passenger mirror tilts downward so i can't see anything but the ground. Is it just me or is there any way to turn this feature off? (E39)

keep the mirror selector switch in the other position (driver's side vs. passenger or vice versa, I can't remember)

If the battery has been disconnected, the mirror will tilt even if the mirror adjustment selector switch is in the passenger position, until you change the position of the switch that is (flip it to driver, then back).
