So, my father's freind used to work at Midwest Motor Sports : http://www.midwestmotorsport.com/wild_frame.htm on Forced Induction systems. He's been urging me to get a Super Charger kit, and he would do the install (he misses the work). Would you guys take the free expert labor?
He says he can get it up and running in one day, if the ECU doesnt need special attention.
depends on your car, if its under warranty etc...
if you car is out of warranty, find a good kit like ASA and go for it...
cheap way to get power out of your car

Probably...if it's within your budget to buy the SC.
If he previously worked there he might also be able to get you a decent discount on the hardware as well.

Im really thinking about it. He worked on e36s, m6's, older 740's (yes, even those ppl want those with turbos) basically older bmws. He really misses the work so he inching to tinker with my car. The budget is there, but i may just wait for 15K miles until warranty is over.
I never knew this, but he has a great story of how he got a Super Charger and Turbo Charger working in the SAME car with special parts from Europe, the 318 got to ~300hp over night. Dont know how that worked, but im sure the car was one of a kind, at a 15K upgrade cost.
