Perfect.

Too bad my emotions got in the way when we bought our X5. I wanted one NOW, and I got Titanium/Black without SP (no white/SP on the lot). Your mom's is awesome!

Yeah I like it too. Only thing I wished it had was a better sound system and the aluminium running boards (I like the look). The power isn't too bad either for such a heavy vehicle w/ just the 3.0.

Good thing I convinced dad on the X5 (he was thinking Toureg and x-nayed the ML, thankfully) then I convinced him on the white b/c my mom doesn't like taking care of her vehicles too much (drives them that's it, plus I'll enjoy detailing this one more than her 4Runner ...blech)and it was optioned better than the silver one (he likes silver). I negotiated $4240 off the sticker price and a set of rubber OEM floor mats. :p

THEN my dad is awesome b/c he paid for it all. :D

Ah.... something elegant about a clean, white X5. We just an '04 in Alpine White/Truffle Brown and I must say it is quite :bigpimp:. I want it.

Then again, I want just about everything else on the lot. :eeps:

Great car!!

Oh, and I find a new feature on the '04s every day. Today's discovery: Soft-close rear hatch. Anyone that has owned or operated an X5 knows that it takes a strong slam to ensure that the rear hatch closes and that you don't get the interior lights stuck on, or a "Trunklid Open" warning on the OBC. Now, you can gently lower the hatch, and it was latch it securely for you each and every time. Big improvement!!

Jon glad you enjoyed the Ice Wine. I'd be more than happy to bring you some more the next time I'm in the area

Yeah Alpine White is really growing on me. Just plain ELEGANT. This comining from someone with one of the darkest BMWs around :p

Those are some nice houses. The X5 looks good, too. :)

Looking good! By far the easiest cleaning BMW wheels as well. The biggest problem is remembering to keep within the laws of physics while driving it and keeping track of speed.Sitting up that high and with such tight responsiveness for a truckster there is a real tendency to underestimate velocity.

Agreeed but she is used to driving SAV/SUVs. She's coming from a 99 4Runner Limited. The X5 BY FAR handles better. There is no comparision.

Damn the thing handles like a race car compared to my farm truck.

Funny, my wife went from a '97 4Runner SR-5 to the X5 (OK, there was a Volvo V70 in the middle).

Night and day.

And I went from a 95 4Runner SR5 to an 03 X5 3.0 with premium package. Night and Day doesn't even begin to describe it. It's more like farm tractor to rocketship. :)
