:dunno: I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THE LITE FOR THE BRAKE SENSOR ON THE FRONT PADS TO GO OUT, I HAVE CHANGED THE FRONT PADS AND RECONNECTED THE SENSOR, BUT THE LITE STAYS ON
ANY HELP WOULD BE APRRECIATED

ANY HELP WOULD BE APRRECIATEDTurn the ignition key to position 2, but do not start the car. Leave the key in this position for approximately 30 seconds and the brake lining warning will be reset.

These instructions assume you have REPLACED the front brake sensor rather than simply reinstalling it. When the light on your dash appeared, it meant that the sensor had been destroyed by the rotor, at which point you must install a new one.

yes, a defective, disconnected, or compromised sensor will give you a warning light.

I just wired mine together... :D Of course, you'll lose the whole purpose of the sensors then...

I just wired mine together... :D Of course, you'll lose the whole purpose of the sensors then...Why did you do that? Did you install a Brembo kit on your car? (The Brembo brakes do not have an allowance for the reuse of the BMW pad wear sensors.)

For the curious, the sensor and harness look like this:

Cut off sensor, strip wires, solder together, reinstall harness end
