I'm wondering what you are noticing to be the hot H-rated snow tire this year. I need to get a set for my 318, and I am wondering what to get. We had a set of the old Pilot Alpins a few years ago on the 323i, and they were nice. Last yaer, we ran LM-22s on the 325i with no complaints.

Now, I'm deciding between the following that I see on your site:
-Blizzak LM-22
-Pilot Alpin PA2 (Is this a new version of the old Pilot Alpin?)
-Dunlop Winter Sport M2
-Dunlop Winter Sport M3 (any big difference between these two?)
-Pirelli Winter 210 SnowSport (I admitedly know nothing about this tire)

I'm likely going to go 205/55HR16. I don't expect alot of snowfall in RI, so I am looking for something with good snow performance but more importantly something that will handle well the rest of the winter.

What would you suggest?

-Blizzak LM-22 Very close to the M2/M3 in handling, slightly better ice/snow traction. If I had to choose one of the H rated snows, this would be the one.

-Pilot Alpin PA2- 'new' version of Pilot Alpin, very few changes. Still the best handling, but least able in snow H rated winter tire that we carry.

Pirelli Winter 210 SnowSport - a close 2nd to the Pilot Alpin for dry handing, slightly better in snow than the Pilot Alpin.

-Dunlop Winter Sport M2 A well known, popular all-around H rated winter tire choice. I would also have no problem running these.
-Dunlop Winter Sport M3 We have so few surveys in on the M3 that the numbers are misleading. Very little has changed other than a slight tread pattern change between the two. From our experience with the tires least season, these two were essentially the same in snow and dry road capablity.
