My current tires are great summers, but about as crappy a set of winters as you could want. I'm thinking about getting a set of winters on steelies. I'm quite poor, and the options that have come up are
-Used Blizzaks on steelies for $200 - I'm going to look at them later this week
-If those aren't any good, a friend of mine has bare steelies I can buy for a song. The cheapest winter tires Tirerack offers are Winterforce (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Winterforce&tireModel=M%2BS); with mounting and balancing, that would come to about $200, too. Anyone tried 'em? Are they any good? I'm looking at mostly cold/a little snow driving.
