My rear tires were down to the wear bars at 24,000, so I had them replaced this morning. Good, I thought, because I noticed some wicked tire roar over the last few weeks--tire roar I assumed was coming from the rear tires.
Well, I replaced them with the ContiSport Contact 2...and the roar is still there. I figured it had to be the rear tires because the fronts still have a good amount of tread left on them. So now I'm wondering if it was the fronts all along.
This is all a bit frustrating. I guess the question I'm afraid to ask is, to eliminate the noise, do I need to replace the fronts as well? Or, am I missing something else?
