problem #2 - 04 330cic right door handle

Does not work, I have to open the passenger door from the inside, handle seems to have no effect at all, I dont hear any connection or feel any resistance using the outside latch

Ive had these panels off earlier e46 (00 323cia, 02 325cia), never noticed how the latch attached, anyone know?

I had that problem on a '99 323i. On the door jamb, there is a oval or oblong black plastic or rubber plug. It's at about the same height as the exterior door handle. Carefully pull the plug out using a very small screwdriver. Inside the door there is a set screw (may be a torx head, can't remember) that fastens the outside door handle to the door opening mechanism. Loosen the screw just a bit. Then tighten it back up. Get it tight but be careful not to go too tight. That should do it.

BTW, I figured this out after disassembling the whole friggin' door and realized that all I needed to do was use the little port in the door jamb.
