This thread refers only to size 205 X 50 X 17 (low profile) for a 330ci driven in a no snow envirement. Back in June I had trouble with blowout on stcck Conti due to I think from under inflation as result of nail in tire. At the sugestion of Hack or Shack or whoever I had been studying diligently on becoming a well informed tire ****, After reading so many pitiful stories on this size low profile tire I came to the conclusion no matter how little or how much you pay for one of these donuts, just one time driving with one or more of them under inflated was a write off for the tire. Also it seemed the stiffer the side wall, the harder the car would ride, I read where some folks were using the KH11 Ecsta Kumho on the track with good results. I also learned from threads, the asymetrical tire was better than directional. I bought 2 and had them installed in the front. They have gone 6K miles and still measure 9/32 (35# psi). I purchased 2 to-day, 20K on car now, and what a difference . Much less noise, ditto no tramaling etc. While the Rack quotes $90.00 each for 4, I paid a local sealer $143.00 ea. out the door includes free repairs and rotation. I don't use the latter and hope not to use the repair part either. The 712 tire is directional and does not get raves like this one. If you are interested, go to kumhotire.com and read all about data and specs. The dealer I use said he would replace them with any tire of my choice if I found them N.G. He has yet to have anyone take him up on that offer. He also lent me a spare the first time I had tire trouble and did all of the swapping around etc, at no charge. This is why I use this dealer. He doesn't scratch up the rims either and uses finest Hunter balancing equipment. Just my humble opinion on this stuff. I drive hard at times and in heavy rains and the front ones stick like glue. Lets hope all 4 do better.
