04-05 545i's with 40K-60K usually end up selling between 19K and 24Kish. CPO's will be in the upper area.

2004 silver 545i non-sport 34,000 miles. Bought in January for ~$21,000. A little over priced for what you should be able to get now. I would push for $17k -$18 for the same equipment I have now. No navigation, heated seats or satelite.

Bought one for the wife last week, 2005, 50k miles, sport pkg, logic 7, new tires and spotless. Has CPO warranty until the end of next year. I paid $24k...

$24k is the suggested retail value for a nicely equipped 2004 545i. Unless its from a private seller, talking the price down to under $17k would be a steal.

Sort of OT- Speaking of 545i's... I miss Stream being aroung here. He always had the answer to the 545i questions.

Given the technology, power and luxury of that car...a 545i right now has got to be one of the best deals ever.

Paid about 22k in October of 09, for a 2004 545i, with Sport Package, Cold Weather, NAV, and Bluetooth. 63k was on the clock. It was out of warranty, so I purchased a good (I pray) third party warranty for ~$2,500.

Just paid 20k for an 2005 545i with 47k miles, sport/prem package, premium sound, Sirius, black dakota leather, maintenance and CPO warranty to September 2011

It was a private sale, and I think I got really lucky on finding this deal.

Two weeks ago I picked up a 2005 545i: 69k miles, CPO until 5/11. Sport, Premium, Cold weather, heated rear seats, M5 wheels and steering wheel, HUD, SMG, Black/Auburn interior. Got it for $19,300. Needs nothing as of now, so I'm as happy as can be. I'll second that a 545i is the best deal on a used car out there.

Bad Debt

I agree. Bought my '04 545i (Auto, sport package, cold weather package) 2weeks ago, private sale through a friend, 25,000miles, new tires, paid trade in value. With taxes, tags, full service including gearbox and diff fluid change, and in the next couple of weeks a little paintwork touch up here and there to make it good as new, it will be all in under $20k.
