Bluetooth w/Iphone 5 series obnoxious ringtone

My iphone connects easily with the bluetooth in the 535 xi 2010. When I receive a call though, the ringtone is like an angry alarm. Anyway to change the ringtone?

I laughed when I read your question. I've been trying to figure out a way to change this since I bought my car last summer. The ringtone is so abrupt that it startles me whenever I get a call.

Hmm... I used to get the same awful ringtone with my bberry in the car, but now I get nothing (no ringtone at all from the car). The music just mutes and the iDrive screen changes to indicate an incoming call. For the life of me I can't figure out what I did to turn off the car's ringtone :dunno:, but if I figure it out I'll let you know - that might be a solution for you (although not as good as a customizable ringtone, to me it's better than the alarm sound).
