Happened again ,and is twice.
Had to re-set the iPod.
Said it was "Connected" well after i removed it frm the car.

Now it does not show songs, or play songs.
No way to play iPod.
This is a factoru USB port car. Back to the dealership.

Can you get your hands on another iPod to see if it works with that one?

I had something similar happen once, but after rebooting the iPod, it's been fine.

Maybe you can try a hard reset of the iPod while it's connected to the iDrive.

Good idea. Will try the hard reset whild connected the the car.
Have not tried that yet.

If that doesn't work, it will have to go to the dealer.
It will no longer play the iPod at all.

Great suggestion. That worked.
While the iPod was plugged in the car, I held down the home button and the on/off switch at the same time.
It restored everything, and is working again.
on AUX, it shows every song, artist, etc.

Glad to have it back.

Good to hear. I know what you mean about getting the iPod interface back--I really miss it whenever I have to drive a rental.
