My 1997 F250 that I recently purchased had 235/85's (16") on it (Toyo's) and they're slightly worn, so I'm looking at replacing them.

At the Tire rack, it says my stock tire is 235/75. Should I go with stock or are these 85's okay to stay with? Advantages/disadvantages to either? I'm somewhat dim-witted when it comes to tire sizes. The wheels are stock forged aluminum.

There were several options for tire sizing on that vehicle including both 225/75R16 and 235/85R16. Your truck likely had the 235/85R16 sizing, which I would suggest sticking with.

The 235/85R16 is taller/looks better on a truck like that, and has more load carrying capcity.

Excellent, thank you for your time!
