It is a CPO, has ~33k miles and is loaded.
New car warranty ends in a couple of months.
Dealer is asking $34k. Am I out of line to think somewhere in the $29k range is fair?

That seems about what the Dealers are trying to get now.
18 months ago I was offered a CPO 530xiT with about 24K miles for $32,000 that only had Premium package and Cold Weather, but that was back when nothing was selling.
I think $29,000 is where I would want to be. If it is really loaded and I really liked the vehicle I might go $30,000.
FYI: BMW financial is offering either 0.9% financing or free Extended Maintenance on 2007 CPOs financed through the end of May. If you choose the Extended Maintenance you pay a higher interest rate.
If by chance you can pay cash for your purchase, (for example if you will get the $ from a home equity line of credit) you could finance as little as $7,500 for 24 months, (pay the bulk of the $ with cash) and pay off the loan early, and get a free $2,295 (plus tax) Extended Maintenance Plan with your CPO protection.
If this Financing idea works for you it could help you justify paying a bit more for the 530xiT, if you really like it.
