Has anyone converted the standard halogen headlights installed on '08 528i to xenon? Is this conversion feasible, difficult or too expensive to even consider?

Definitely possible, you will need the OE headlights and wiring to prevent the bulb out warning. We stock the OE headlights so let us know if you need the headlights to do the swap.

You have to get LCI adaptive xenon headlights and have them programmed at BMW. Kind of funny how the 2008 528is don't have Xenon headlights as a standard when back in 2005 and I'm sure earlier has BMW cars with Adaptive Xenon Headlights.
You might as well just get a 6000k MTEC HID kit off ebay to save money cause it would cost at least $1000 to get everything done the way it should have always been.

Many thanks for the inputs. I believe I'll live with these halogen lights. I also agree that for a $50K car BMW should have installed xenon headlights as standard equipment.

I am doing the retrofit for Pre-LCI cars. I am currently reseaching how to do this for the LCI's. ON the pre LCI's, no dealer reprogramming required! Just plug and play... check out http://forums.5series.net/topic/98581-converting-halogen-to-xenon-service/
