BMW has registered the names 125i and 130i. And the drawing and picture look (to me) close to the real thing - since some of the cladding is removed.
No I-Drive, and a Z4 type basic interior.
2 series coupe & cabriolet arrive end of 2006.
M2 with 2.4L 240 hp four cylinder (since that's a really old rumor, I don't know)

I think I want an M2...but I'd rather have an M version of the 5 door. :eeps:

Not so bad looking from what I can tell. A bit ZM-coupish. I'm interested to see how the coupe version will turn out.

Interesting sales forecast in the article. BMW is actually planning to produce 150,000 units per year.

They are right on the launch date though, it's around Oct-Nov 2004.

The car will be sharing 40% components with the E90, which will follow in June 2005.

BTW, E60 Touring is coming out in June 2004.

The "M2," or whatever they end up calling it, sounds pretty interesting to me as well.

I am actually starting to look forward to the 1 series. I just hope they keep it lightweight

No hatchbacks for the U.S., though. I believe that the sedan version is the only model that BMW N.A. has confirmed.

Right. But is it ACTUALLY coming to the U.S.? BMW confirmed one model to the U.S., but they can change their mind right and end up giving us nothing?

Thanks for the link, but it still doesn't answer my question...

I still am jealous of those European lucky bastards.... :D
