Help,Smelly Air Condition system!!! [Archive] - bimmerfest

Hi guys.

I know that there is a product out there that will eliminate this problem. My Air Con system STINKS so bad during the first 10 seconds when I start my engine.

It was this unusually smelly air that comes out of.....I have no idea!

Was it a problem with the filter gettin dirty?
Do I need to get anything to be replaced by my dealer since it is still under warranty.

Any help is appreciated.

Two things!

1. Go to www.carcareonline.com (web site for Car Care Specialties) and order Wurth A/C & Heating System Spray. It isn't cheap but it works. Follow the instructions to the letter.

2. When you've used the A/C, before you turn off the engine, raise the auto climate control to the highest temperatre (my is 89 degrees) and press "Auto." Let the heating system dry out the vent system and the evaporator (which cools the air). Let it run for a minute or so.
