Just got back from a mini get-together with our West coast Fester, operknockity, and a few NYC area Festers, MikeW, GeoMystic, and Terry Kennedy. Had some Italian, some good conversation and enjoyed many of Terry's stories.

Sadly, it was a short meeting, but it was definitely a pleasure to meet you guys! :D

Operknockity looks like he's suffering from some bigtime jetlag.

We should do more of these, with more advance notice so people can plan their schedules (for our at-home viewing audience, this was a spur-of-the-moment thing when operknockity told me he was coming to town).

Operknockity looks like he's suffering from some bigtime jetlag. He's been here since Monday, I think. Draw your own conclusions...

The Fab 5 were in the middle of redecorating the place? :dunno:

Whose place is that in the pic anyway? Looks like a pretty sweet pad.

Whose place is that in the pic anyway? Looks like a pretty sweet pad.It is my friend Amanda's Manhattan place on 5th Ave, with design and furnishings [mostly] by me.

Nice room, looks like a designer/artist studio.

What model speaker is that on the wall? I'm looking to add wall mounted speakers in my next condo, hopfully this spring.

The speakers are Meridian DSP33's which have a digital interconnect and require a digital processor. They also make M33's which are powered analog speakers in the same size. The brackets are by Omnimount.

What your not seeing is the three other Meridians surrounding the 50" plasma screen on the other wall :DActually, we have similar setups in all 3 places - the Manhattan loft, the house, and Amanda's Illinois apartment - all have 50" plasma screens, the house has larger Meridian speakers for the front, and Amanda's Illinois apartment has Altec speakers, since it is a temporary setup while she's at UIUC). Here's the pictures of the "small system" in the bedroom at the house:
