my friend put the wrong coolant in her car. Will it be a problem if I sucked it all out, then added the right coolant :dunno:

No, only prolonged exposure to wrong coolant will cause problems.

so its OK to put a tube in the coolant tank and suck it out...then add the right coolant?

That won't get it all out. You need to drain the system and replace with the proper fluid mixed with distilled water.

If youa rereally an*l, you can run some straight distilled water in the car, run it until it is fully warmed up, heater full on, then drain and refill with the proper coolant and distilled water. This would flush out all remaining bad coolant in the system. I personally don't think this is necessary, but some do.

It's at the lower driver side corner of the radiator. the hard one is the engine drain plug. Also be VERY careful & hand tighten ONLY when you replace the radiator plug! It is easy to break. ASK ME HOW I KNOW ;-(
There are links that tell you ow to do it. Go to my site here:

& look for the LINKS page. Then look under BMW Tech Tips for:
COOLANT CHANGE PROCEDURE WITH THE PART THAT SOME OTHERS DON'T TELL YOU! (THANKS MICHAEL!) (http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=43515)
Yes I could give you a more direct link, but then you would miss the fun of my web site! ;-)
good luck
