I just looked at you web site, its really nice.

Did you order the car with the aerokit, or did your install it afterwards?

What about the painting - how did you go about finding a good body shop. Anything to look out for?

Also, can I move my PDC sensors to the new rear bumper, or du I need to order a special version of the rear bumper?

Any other advise regading the aerokit upgrade?

Thanks...

JSE

I installed it afterwards. Actually, I bought it before I picked up the car, but didn't install it until months later.

I got a wide range of estimates for the paint job. The difference was as much as $1500. The dealer was asking too much and somehow I didn't feel comfortable with the lowest price. I wanted it done right and opted to go with a shop that I knew did work with BMWs. I had mine done at Wheel Power in Huntington Beach, CA. They were a little pricey, but I felt much better knowing they were going to do a good job.

There are 2 different bumpers, based on whether or not you have the PDC. No difference in price, but you have to get the right one.

You might already be aware, but there are other kits out there including the M-Technik kit which has an M-Style front bumper which alot of people like. To each his own of course, but I liked the OEM Aero-Kit since I first saw it. Alot of people seem to be going with the M-Technik. Check in to e46fanatics.com. Alot of people there add body-kits to their cars and you can see a bunch of pics there.

I think it looks better and more stylish than the M-Tech kit, which is a bit too much for me.

Seems that the paint work is the expensive part of the upgrade - right?

Thanks for your advise :-) :-) :-)
